Glossary

Tool to include the glossary in online documents

Chose a file on your local PC for application of the glossary. After you've clicked the button "Datei hochladen" a window will appear, you may now download the converted file. Feel free to give the file any name, if you don't like the proposed name.

Please note the following hints:

  1. Check your document for unwanted conversion of words that are similar to the terms.
  2. All links are included in the document for offline use.
The glossary will improve with time, however if you have chosen the download version, you will miss these actualisations. Its not possible to convert a document twice! Keep an unconverted version of your document for conversions with a more developed glossary database content!
  3. The explanations of the terms are generated online. Internet access is necessary for use!.
The explanations of the terms are always synchronized with the glossary's database.
It is useful for publishing in the internet and makes no sense offline.
  4. This glossary is widly based on javascript, and therefore it will not work if javascript is deactivated.
A javascript function will be included in the head of your script. The end tag </head> is required for inclusion. Capitalisation doesn't matter, however the </head> tag must be intact. If you delete the javascript function, your script won't work anymore, of course.

This tool to accesss and integrate the glossary was developed by the RRD project at Charité Virchow Eye Clinic Berlin with support of the German Ministry of Health, and by RetinaScience.de
